Virginia Economics 101

Even if you aren’t directly employed by one of Virginia’s major employers, their presence still benefits your community.  Whether it is the health coverage you receive from your spouse’s employer or what your energy costs are or what your tax rate is, these are all issues that are affected by the November election.

Companies invest in the communities, sponsor little league teams, and offer programs to benefit their employees and their families.  The future for Virginia businesses is shaped by the candidates who are elected this fall by informed, engaged voters.  The VA P2 website is here to provide you, your employees and colleagues with the information to make business prosper.

Virginia has a robust and diverse economy.  Just like Virginia enjoys a state with picturesque rural vistas and vibrant urban environments, the Commonwealth’s workforce is active in a variety of different endeavors.  Men and women in uniform, employees at private companies, those who work in the agricultural sector and everyone in between all contribute to a prosperous Virginia.

The Governor’s Mansion has long held dynamic leaders and the candidate elected this November will be in the position to make major decisions that will have long term consequences for working Virginians.  Residents must be ready to make an informed choice in the general election that will benefit their economic future.  The Governor and Lieutenant Governor will be the face of Virginia for the next four years and will be expected to champion and continue the trend of success that the state’s economy has enjoyed.
